At ATCO Frontec, we are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Site Services department in Eureka, Nunavut.

Salary and Benefits

The hourly wage for this role is $120 per hour. This position has been identified as safety sensitive and will require completion of a pre-employment alcohol & drug test, fit to work medical test, and a criminal record check.

Job Description

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment used in the construction and maintenance of roads, buildings and other structures as well as material handling work. The position will be located on site in Eureka, NU for weeks and then on site in Resolute Bay, NU for weeks, then off for weeks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Completion of secondary school
  • Valid class drivers license
  • Clean drivers abstract
  • A minimum five years of experience operating heavy equipment
  • Ability to operate with minimum supervision
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
