Opportunity Summary

Community Living BC is seeking a Senior Indigenous Partnerships Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Indigenous Relations department, you will play a critical role in advancing our relationships with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities across British Columbia.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced leader who can drive initiatives that promote cultural safety and support service delivery to Indigenous peoples. Your expertise in negotiation, partnership development, and team leadership will be instrumental in building strong relationships with Indigenous partners and stakeholders.

This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $100,231 to $125,289 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package including extended health and dental coverage, a BC Public Service Pension plan, and generous vacation and special leave time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities, organizations, and authorities in BC
  • Negotiate agreements, including protocol, funding, MOU, and service-related agreements on behalf of CLBC
  • Develop and implement strategies to raise CLBC's profile with Indigenous partners and service organizations
  • Provide leadership and direction to a growing team of Indigenous-focused facilitators
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in government systems and with Indigenous peoples in the community
  • At least 1-3 years of experience leading teams, including project leadership, in the Indigenous Services Sector and the Community Living Sector
  • Deep understanding of various jurisdictions and ability to navigate complex partnerships
