Job Title: Caretaker

Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified Caretaker to join our team at the Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE). The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of school facilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of school systems
  • Assist with the setup and teardown of school events
  • Provide support to students and staff as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a maintenance or custodial role an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
