About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at IMP Aerostructures. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and adjusting production machinery, fitting and assembling components, and maintaining precision measuring instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
  • Set up and adjust production machinery/tools
  • Fitting and assembling components and machine parts to close tolerance
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
  • Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools
  • Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments

Requirements:

  • Machinist Trade Certification
  • Experience with cylindrical grinders, drill presses, milling machines, and universal grinders
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
