Job Title: Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst at GFL Environmental, you will play a critical role in supporting business decision-making and process improvement within the environmental services division. You will work closely with the SVP, Operations to ensure effective allocation of resources and successful implementation of capital projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Extract insights from data to inform business decisions
  • Develop and maintain data-driven models to support process improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and process enhancements
  • Design and implement data visualization tools to facilitate business intelligence
  • Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the viability of capital projects
  • Develop and manage the annual capital budget to ensure alignment with corporate objectives
  • Monitor and track capital expenditures to ensure adherence to budget and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to negotiate contracts and manage project timelines
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and compliance requirements related to capital investments
Requirements:
  • University degree in engineering, finance, economics, mathematics, computer science, or a similar discipline
  • Advanced skills with MS Excel, including VBA coding
  • Experience with SQL and data aggregation techniques
  • Understanding of statistics and data visualization tools
  • Strong business acumen and ability to build trusted relationships with business leaders
