Laundry Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Laundry Operations Supervisor to join our team at Days Inn & Suites - Sherwood Park. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our laundry facilities and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule and Coordinate Laundry Operations
- Plan and manage the daily laundry schedule to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with housekeeping staff to prioritize and manage laundry loads.
- Supervise and Train Laundry Staff
- Supervise and train laundry staff on proper laundry procedures, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to ensure high standards are met.
- Manage Laundry Supplies and Equipment
- Requisition and manage laundry supplies, including detergents, fabric softeners, and other necessary items.
- Ensure all laundry equipment is in good working order and perform routine maintenance as needed.
- Monitor Quality and Productivity
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure all laundry items meet our high standards.
- Monitor productivity and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Communicate with Housekeeping and Management
- Communicate with housekeeping staff and management to ensure seamless coordination of laundry operations.
- Provide regular updates on laundry operations, including any issues or concerns.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in laundry operations or a related field
- Equivalent experience may be considered
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
- Work Term: Permanent
- Work Language: English
- Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
