Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Laundry Operations Supervisor to join our team at Days Inn & Suites - Sherwood Park. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our laundry facilities and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and Coordinate Laundry Operations
    • Plan and manage the daily laundry schedule to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize downtime.
    • Coordinate with housekeeping staff to prioritize and manage laundry loads.
  • Supervise and Train Laundry Staff
    • Supervise and train laundry staff on proper laundry procedures, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
    • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to ensure high standards are met.
  • Manage Laundry Supplies and Equipment
    • Requisition and manage laundry supplies, including detergents, fabric softeners, and other chemicals.
    • Ensure all laundry equipment is in good working order and perform routine maintenance as needed.
  • Monitor Quality and Productivity
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure high standards of cleanliness and quality.
    • Monitor productivity and identify areas for improvement to optimize efficiency.
  • Communicate with Housekeeping Team
    • Communicate with housekeeping staff to ensure seamless coordination of laundry operations.
    • Provide regular updates on laundry schedules, supply levels, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in laundry operations or a related field
  • Equivalent experience may be considered
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
Working Conditions
  • 30 to 40 hours per week
  • English language required
