Role Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Forest Officer to join our team in the Wildfire Management program. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting wildfire prevention, operations, and forest management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support wildfire prevention and operations through knowledge of fire behavior, fuel types, and firefighting techniques.
  • Contribute to wildfire detection and operations by managing lookout staff, enforcing fire permits, and supporting Fire Smart initiatives.
  • Lead seasonal firefighting crews and ensure safe and effective wildfire suppression.
  • Participate in Forest Operations Monitoring (FOMP) and Forest Health programs, conducting inspections and assisting with non-compliance investigations.
