Job Summary

Lac La Biche County is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter to join our team. As a Firefighter, you will play a critical role in providing emergency response and rescue services to our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency incidents, including fires, rescues, and medical emergencies.
  • Operate firefighting equipment and vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Participate in regular training and drills to maintain and improve skills.
  • Collaborate with other emergency services personnel to ensure effective response and communication.
  • Conduct fire safety inspections and provide education to the public on fire prevention and safety.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a Class 3 driver's license.
  • EMT certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
