Role Overview

The National Ski Academy is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its operations and drive excellence in alpine ski racing and education. As the Executive Director, you will oversee the strategic direction and day-to-day management of the organization, ensuring alignment with its mission and goals.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced leader to make a lasting impact on the development of top young athletes and contribute to the growth of the National Ski Academy as a leading Canadian high-performance ski racing academic destination.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and vision for the National Ski Academy, driving strategic planning and implementation.
  • Oversee the administration, finance, employees, athletics, academics, house, and property of the organization.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including parents, students, staff, supporters, alumni, board members, sponsors, and donors.
  • Develop and implement operational and organizational policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to them.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the field of alpine ski racing and education.
  • Represent the programs and point of view of the National Ski Academy to agencies, organizations, and the general public.

Key Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior program management position.
  • Proven leadership abilities, highly organized with an attention to detail.
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management.
  • Ability to coach employees, manage, and develop high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures.
