Highly Skilled Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team at US Tech Solutions.
About the Role:
This is a permanent position with a competitive salary of approximately $110,000 per annum, based on industry standards and your level of experience.
You will work within a Scrum team to define, develop, and automate test cases that verify product requirements and implement specified tests. This includes creating and maintaining an automated testing platform built on Python/Gherkin/Jenkins/Jira with a Behavior Driven Development (BDD) methodology.
Your responsibilities will include developing production-quality Python automation frameworks and shared libraries, creating automated testing of Cloud-based systems, writing and refactoring code to support the development of the automated test framework and test cases, and troubleshooting firmware based on test results and reproducing issues for development engineers.
You will also execute test cases using both automated and manual techniques, document the automation framework and infrastructure, identify and report software defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with firmware testing automation development
- Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Computer, Software, or Electrical Engineering
- Demonstrable expertise in Python programming language for test automation
- Experience with embedded Linux systems and digital communication interfaces such as Ethernet, WiFi, USB, CANbus, and RS485
- A systematic and logical approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Proficient in Behavior Driven Development (BDD) approach
- Ability to create, implement, and automate test plans
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated collaborative teamwork capabilities
- Experience with PV and Grid Tie Energy Storage system architecture and application (desirable)
- Experience in Realtime system modelling and simulation (desirable)
- Experience in reviewing PCB schematics and microelectronic device datasheets (desirable)
- Proficiency with C/C++ programming language and MATLAB and Simulink State machine design and implementation (desirable)
