Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Ensure that staff are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Operations Management
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently
- Prepare and submit reports on sales, stock, and other relevant metrics
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
- Customer Service
- Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- Ensure that customer feedback is acted upon and that customer satisfaction is consistently high
- Financial Management
- Prepare budget and cost estimates for food and beverage operations
- Monitor and control expenses to ensure that they are within budget
- Work Environment
- Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high pressure
- Be able to work a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role
- Skills
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide leadership and guidance to staff
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Dependability and reliability in meeting deadlines and achieving goals
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced coffee shop environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines is essential.
