At Bruvvers Truck and Trailer Repair, we are seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team. As a Welder Specialist, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and ensuring that welds meet standards and/or specifications.

The ideal candidate will have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role and be able to work in a hot, noisy, and dirty environment. You will be required to operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines, and fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal.

In addition, you will be responsible for determining weldability of materials, operating hoisting and lifting equipment, and maintaining and performing minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret welding process specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
  • Fitting, brazing, and torch-straightening metal
  • Determine weldability of materials
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment

Requirements:

  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a hot, noisy, and dirty environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
