Job Summary

Fraser Health is seeking a Spiritual Health Practitioner to provide spiritual health services, care, and support to residents and their families within Residential Care facilities. The successful candidate will work in partnership with Fraser Health spiritual health staff members, volunteer services, and local spiritual and religious communities to provide comprehensive spiritual health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide spiritual health services, care, and support to residents and their families
  • Work in partnership with Fraser Health spiritual health staff members, volunteer services, and local spiritual and religious communities
  • Facilitate linkages with local community faith and spiritual groups
  • Plan, organize, and provide comprehensive spiritual care and emotional support services
  • Ensure spiritual health delivery is aligned with Fraser Health policies, procedures, and standards

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in theology or related discipline
  • Completion of one advanced unit of Clinical Pastoral Education
  • One year recent related experience in a spiritual health related role
  • Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care

  • Professional/Technical Capabilities: Advanced ability and sensitivity to develop therapeutic and supportive relationships
