Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Front Desk Representative to join our team at the Best Western Plus Mirage Hotel & Resort. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, managing room assignments, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Registration and Room Assignments: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and ensure accurate room inventory.
  • Front Desk Operations: Process group arrivals and departures, take, cancel, and change room reservations, and provide information on hotel facilities and services.
  • Cash Handling and Reporting: Balance cash, complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms, and process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments.
  • Customer Service: Provide general information about points of interest in the area, answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Administrative Support: Perform clerical duties, such as faxing, filing, and photocopying, and maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
  • Emergency Procedures: Follow emergency and safety procedures, and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities, newcomers and refugees, youths, Veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week.
