Global Customs Analyst Opportunity

Raytheon ELCAN is a leading provider of high-precision optical systems, with a reputation for delivering cutting-edge solutions for demanding challenges worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications and country of origin analysis
  2. Free Trade Agreement analysis and qualifications
  3. Assist with inquiries related to import compliance activities
  4. Stay current with changes in customs regulations and ensure adherence to global trade requirements
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customs-related issues and implement effective solutions
  6. Facilitate communication with customs authorities and provide required information
  7. Comply with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety and ensuring a safe working environment
  8. Contribute to a positive workplace culture
Requirements:
  1. Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or International Business, or equivalent training or work experience
  2. Minimum two years of work experience in the export/import of goods and materials in Canada
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of customs regulations and procedures is an asset
  4. Effective communication skills
  5. Motivation and a positive attitude
  6. Willingness to learn and acquire knowledge/understanding through study, instruction, or experience

The successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal reference check and obtain/maintain a Government of Canada security clearance and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods.
