Job Title: Assembler

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team at G&W Electric Co. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling parts according to drawings and procedures, using a variety of hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform subassembly and final assembly operations of products with variable shapes and sizes
  • Follow established methods and procedures to make designated assemblies
  • Ensure job meets all requirements before leaving work center
  • Meet or exceed established production levels
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed
  • Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of basic assembly tasks
  • Inspect all work prior to passing it on to the next operation

Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year working experience in an assembler position
  • Ability to safely use small hand and power tools
  • Previous experience in industrial/manufacturing settings
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of blueprints, diagrams, and bill of materials
  • Demonstrated ability to use small hand and power tools
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical College/University graduate in electrical or mechanical studies
  • Demonstrated basic electrical knowledge

Working Conditions:

The Assembler will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with variable temperatures and humidity levels. The position requires frequent standing, walking, and bending, as well as the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on a frequent basis.
