G&W Electric Co is seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team in Brampton, CA. As an Assembler, you will play a critical role in the production process, ensuring the highest quality products are delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble parts and components according to drawings and procedures using hand and power tools.
  • Follow established methods and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient production.
  • Inspect work prior to passing it on to the next operation to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Meet or exceed established production levels and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of basic assembly tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year working experience in an assembler position.
  • Ability to safely use small hand and power tools.
  • Previous experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and bill of materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to use small hand and power tools.
  • Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical College/University graduate in electrical or mechanical studies.
  • Demonstrated basic electrical knowledge.

Physical Demands / Working Conditions:

Lifting Demands:

  • Lift up to 40 lbs. on a frequent basis from floor to waist.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs. on an occasional basis from floor to chest.
  • Carry up to 40 lbs. on an occasional basis up to 25 feet.
  • Push/pull up to lbs on an occasional basis.

Postural Demands:

  • Standing – continuous.
  • Walking – continuous.
  • Bending/stooping – continuous.
  • Squatting/kneeling – continuous.
  • Lifting – continuous.

Miscellaneous Demands:

  • Griping, manipulation, fingering – frequent to continuous.
  • Variable hand/power tool use – frequent.
  • Two-person lifting tasks using assistive devices for lifting, pulling and pushing including hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts and hoists.
