Responsibilities
- As a Quality Assurance Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of quality control procedures and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will perform shelf life evaluations, conduct daily GMP walkthroughs, and investigate any deviations or non-conformities.
- You will also support the development of food safety and quality training programs and conduct training sessions for employees on food safety and quality requirements.
- In addition, you will manage product specification verification and documentation, examine incoming raw materials and finished products for quality and food safety, and verify packaging operations to ensure correct labeling and production codes.
- You will also participate in internal and external audits, identify and report non-conformances, and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Your responsibilities will also include completing shift reports, conducting inspections, and issuing certificates of analysis reviews and data entry.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality control food manufacturing setting.
- Post-secondary education in a food safety or quality-related program.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to partner with all levels of production from operators to supervisors.
- Flexible and willing to work overtime where required (in busy seasons).
Estimated Salary Range
The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. This salary range is based on industry standards and location-specific factors.
