The University of British Columbia is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor in Neuro Bioengineering. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of researchers and educators in the School of Biomedical Engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Lead an independent research program in Neuro Bioengineering, with a focus on cellular and molecular engineering approaches to neurological disorders.
- Participate in graduate and undergraduate teaching in biomedical engineering and related topics.
- Provide service within the University and to the broader community.
- Ph.D. or equivalent in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Neuroengineering, Neurobiology, or a related field.
- Strong training background in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, neuroengineering, neurobiology, and/or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability in scholarly activity with experience in collaborative and convergent research at the interface of engineering and molecular/cellular neuroscience.
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with diverse perspectives and behaviors.
- P.Eng. licence or eligibility to obtain a P.Eng. license or Limited Licence with Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
- Experience in teaching and research in biomedical engineering and related fields.
