Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Master Finish Carpenter to join our team at Skona Design Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and a proven track record of delivering high-quality finish work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Supervise other workers
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in finish carpentry
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment with a focus on delivering high-quality finish work. The work site environment is noisy and dusty, and the candidate must be able to work in a variety of settings, including commercial, industrial, and residential locations.
