Job Title: Carpenter and Finisher

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter and Finisher to join our team at TGA RENOVATIONS INC.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. They will also build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems. Additionally, they will fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 40 to 44 hours of work per week
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, and working at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions.
