Heavy-Duty Equipment Maintenance Technician

About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team at JRC MINING CANADA INC. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our heavy-duty equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions and perform repair work on heavy trucks and other equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure that all repairs meet manufacturers' specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including checking and replacing fluids, filters, and other components as needed.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel regularly and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as mechanics or engineering.
  • Experience with hydraulic transmissions and other complex equipment systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and work at heights.
