Job Title: Project Engineer, Pipeline

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in pipeline construction and maintenance to join our team at Ledcor. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting project teams in various technical and management tasks, leveraging your strong time management and organizational abilities. You will work closely with project teams to implement and maintain Ledcor systems and procedures, perform recordkeeping functions, and manage the change order process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain Ledcor systems and procedures at project start-up, including job site trailer/office set up and master filing system
  • Perform recordkeeping functions, including review and distribution of documentation, preparation of correspondence and meeting minutes, tracking of project milestones and financial deadlines
  • Manage the change order process, including securing pricing from vendors/subcontractors, reviewing and inputting data, and submitting change requests to owners/consultants for approval
  • Facilitate the tracking of project milestones and financial deadlines, assist with the creation of project schedules, and review schedules with Project Managers/Superintendents
  • Coordinate the review and distribution of drawings, maintain drawing logs and transmittals, and prepare purchase requisitions for approval

Requirements:

  • Completion of post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 3+ years of related work experience in pipeline construction/maintenance
  • Familiarity with pipeline construction methodology and practices
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents
  • Knowledge of main construction office processes, including project set up, subcontract management, change orders, RFIs, lien holdbacks, and closeout
  • Strong computer background, including experience with MS Word, Excel, and scheduling software
  • Strong communication skills, confident interacting with key contacts in verbal, written, and electronic form
