About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Worker to join our team at Homewood Ravensview, a leading mental health and addiction treatment center in Canada. As a Food Service Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portion out and serve food and beverages in a dining room and/or cafeteria operation
  • Prepare and assemble food items such as sandwiches and salads
  • Wash, peel, store, and prepare vegetables and fruit
  • Prepare food items such as meat, fish, and poultry by grinding, flouring, and breading
  • Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and sanitizing countertops, sinks, machines, and equipment
  • Adhere to all Health/Safety regulations for proper food handling, personal hygiene, and proper use of all equipment

Requirements:

  • One year of food service experience
  • Food Safe Level 1
  • Knowledge and application of Health and Safety procedures pertaining to food and equipment
  • Effective communication and good organizational skills
  • Ability to provide speedy, efficient, courteous, and tactful customer service while working with other staff and functioning in a team environment
