Food Service Worker

Camosun College is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Worker to join our team in the Culinary Arts Facility. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving food, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and serve food in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality dishes and exceptional customer service.
- Monitor and maintain equipment, including deep fryers, heat lamps, toasters, and ovens, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Coordinate food and non-food supply quantities with the Storeroom Steward to maintain anticipated production levels.
- Perform closing responsibilities, including cleaning, sanitizing, and storing food and equipment.
- Collaborate with the Manager to determine food production levels and catering service requirements.
- Culinary arts red seal certification or equivalent experience.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Office.
- WHMIS certification and current Food Safe Certification Level 1.
- Three years of relevant work experience in a restaurant or institutional food service setting.
