Arcadis is seeking a highly experienced Senior Architect to lead our team in delivering complex integrated transit projects from start to finish. As a key member of our Global Architecture & Urbanism Division, you will be responsible for leading and managing large, complex projects and project teams, and collaborating with practice leaders and colleagues to enhance our design excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage large, complex projects and project teams
- Develop and implement design principles to guide projects from conception to implementation
- Collaborate with practice leaders and colleagues to enhance design excellence
- Lead Business Development efforts
- Client-facing role with direct interaction with clients
Requirements
- Minimum University Degree in Architecture and OAA Registered Architect
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in an architectural studio and minimum 5 years experience in leading project teams and managing large, complex interdisciplinary projects
- Must be an experienced people manager
- Experience with Transit and alternative project delivery models
- Knowledge in Transit Agency policies around the development of transit stations and transit-oriented communities
- Understanding the role of developers in transit projects
- Competent knowledge of building codes and specifications
- Highly organized with the ability to manage time and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive and detail-oriented
- Analytical thinker and problem solver
