About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at CAPELA SURFACES INC. as a Renovation and Restoration Specialist. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the renovation and restoration of various commercial and residential properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, Cut, Shape, Assemble, and Join Materials: Utilize hand tools and equipment to measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Build Foundations, Install Floor Beams, Lay Subflooring, and Erect Walls and Roof Systems: Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure the structural integrity of buildings.
  • Fabricate and Install Custom Woodwork: Design and fabricate custom woodwork, including windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, to meet the specific needs of clients.
  • Work in Various Locations: Travel to various locations to work on renovation and restoration projects, including commercial and residential properties.
Requirements
  • 3+ Years of Experience: Possess at least 3 years of experience in carpentry and renovation, with a strong background in woodworking and construction.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to work in a physically demanding environment, with regular bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling of heavy loads.
  • Accurate and Reliable: Demonstrate accuracy and reliability in work, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Support for Persons with Disabilities: Provide physical accessibility accommodations, such as ramps and elevators, to ensure equal access for all individuals.
  • Language Proficiency: Be proficient in English or French, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
