Job Title: Carpenter and Renovation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter and Renovation Specialist to join our team at AY Exteriors & Solutions Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to carpentry and renovation, including reading blueprints, preparing layouts, and measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry and renovation
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Working at heights training
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate

Work Environment:

Our team works in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be required to work at heights, in noisy, dusty, and outdoors conditions.
