Job Summary:

We are seeking a Journeyman or 4th year Millwright to join our Services Team in Sault Ste Marie, ON. The ideal candidate will have great work ethic and enjoy working in a team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  • Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during installation, set-up and repair
  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
  • Operate machine tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
  • Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment
  • Calibrate and operate precision measuring instruments and tools to diagnose faults and troubleshoot
  • Consult with and advise process operators

Requirements:

  • Must hold a current and valid driver's license
  • Must possess a 433A Industrial Millwright Mechanic Certificate of Qualification or a related trade experience
  • Basic experience with rigging equipment
  • Ability to work with minimal direction
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to work overtime and/or irregular hours
