About the Opportunity

The Health Services Manager will contribute to policy development, quality initiatives, service standardization, and resource management. This role will support the team in achieving the Accreditation Standards and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.

The Health Services Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for interprofessional health services teams. This includes day-to-day clinical operations, standards of care, and maintaining a safe and respectful work environment.

This role requires sound professional judgment and initiative while working within the framework and objectives of the Mental Health and Addictions Program and the Mission and Vision and Strategic Directions of Nova Scotia Health. The incumbent will also incorporate the Core Competencies and Values of Nova Scotia Health's Excellence, Integrity, Respect, Accountability, and Leadership into daily practice.

About You

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced leader who has a minimum of five years of recent experience in a leadership and/or management position with responsibilities related to program planning, evaluation, human resource, and financial management within a unionized environment. A Master's degree or Leadership certificate is an asset.

Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, conflict resolution, negotiation, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills are essential for this role. Experience and expertise in process planning and redesign work are also highly valued.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree from a health-related discipline
  • Master's degree or Leadership certificate an asset
  • Minimum five (5) years recent experience in a leadership and/or management position with responsibilities related to program planning, evaluation, human resource, and financial management within a unionized environment
  • Minimum five (5) years recent clinical experience in a position included in this portfolio
  • Must be registered with the relevant health discipline college/association
  • Previous leadership/management experience an asset
  • Experience and expertise in process planning and redesign work
  • Requires a high level of sound judgment, initiative, and self-direction
  • Demonstrates high degrees of independent decision-making, motivation, creativity, flexibility, adaptability, and change management knowledge
  • Proven and highly developed leadership skills including vision, self-awareness, relationship, and team-building skills, and communication skills
  • Travel may be required
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours
  • Permanent Full-Time; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits

$45.45 - $60.39 Hourly
