About the Opportunity
The Bank of Canada is seeking a highly motivated and talented PhD researcher to join our team as a PhD Internship. This is a unique opportunity to work at the centre of Canada's economy, in a diverse and inclusive organization with significant impact on the economic and financial well-being of all Canadians.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in macroeconomics, monetary economics, banking and payment systems, international economics, global commodity markets, financial economics, financial markets and institutions, labour and demographic economics, mathematical and quantitative methods, and industrial organization.
- Present and promote research to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with fellow researchers and external academics to advance knowledge and expertise.
- Access the Bank's data sets to support research.
Requirements
- Canadian citizenship or permanent residency.
- Passed comprehensive examinations and in good standing in the PhD program.
- Excellent writing and research skills.
- Ability to analyze complex economic and financial information.
- Research interest in one or more of the specified areas.
What We Offer
- A compensation of $6,035 per month.
- A flexible internship duration of two to four months.
- The opportunity to work with a high-performing team and contribute to the Bank's mission.

- No relocation assistance provided.
Language Requirement
