About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our team at Williams Engineering Canada. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in assisting on various projects and contributing to the technical capability and production requirements of our Service Line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Managers and Engineers on various projects, providing exceptional customer service and coordination assistance with internal and external project partners.
  • Write reports that require minimal editing, coordinate with all Service Lines, and extract and relay relevant information for complex problems.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of building codes, assist with fee proposals, and operate independently on routine projects.
  • Review and help complete complex mechanical systems drawings, complete phases of projects within budgeted time, and provide guidance and leadership to junior teammates.
  • Contribute to maintaining and improving quality control, share expertise with other offices, and prepare technical designs for building mechanical systems.
  • May resolve mechanical system construction conflicts with contractors and resolve mechanical system construction technical issues and cost implications.
  • Conduct site reviews and write reports of observations and conclusions, and perpetuate, clarify, and embody WE Purpose and Core Values.
Requirements
  • Typically a graduate of a 1-2 year technical certificate or diploma program in Mechanical Technology.
  • 4 – 6 years of experience.
  • May hold or be working towards a C.E.T. designation.
  • May be working towards R.E.T. designation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, application knowledge of WE systems and programs, and a working knowledge of budgets.
  • Able to identify innovative technical approaches to building mechanical systems engineering, ability to identify risks, and accurately apply codes and regulations.
