About the Role

MID-KNIGHT ELECTRICAL LTD. is seeking a skilled Apprentice Electrician to join our team in the construction industry. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will assist experienced electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install electrical controls and panel boxes in accordance with safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Install underground wiring and cables safely and efficiently.
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation up-to-date and accurate.
  • Splice, join, and connect wires to ensure secure and reliable connections.
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults, and integrity of circuits to identify potential issues.
  • Determine appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
  • Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures to meet evolving needs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and maintenance.
  • Commission systems and components to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience in the electrical trade is an asset.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and hazardous locations.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment safely.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • 40 hours per week work schedule.
