About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our team at Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC. As a key member of our team, you will design and develop highly scalable applications that measure the performance of ads for all of Amazon's advertisers.

What You Will Do
  • Work with technical leaders to design and create our next generation processing platform.
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to invent new patterns to release some of our advertisers' most-requested features and launch them directly to advertisers.
  • Own and operate business-critical systems, work with petabytes of data to answer advertiser and product questions, and collaborate with a group of exceptional SDEs, scientists, program managers, and product managers.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
