Project Overview

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our Enterprise Program Management Office at CI Financial. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support to the CI Financial Group of Companies with planning, executing, and successfully implementing program components of medium complexity. This role will require coordination with extended CI team members, third-party contractors, and/or consultants to deliver projects/programs according to approved plans.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support EPMO processes, including onboarding, impact assessment, and estimation coordination;
  2. Ensure program and project updates are timely and accurate;
  3. Provide support to the Program Manager in identifying deliverables and developing milestones for programs;
  4. Support the documentation of all program events and milestones;
  5. Support the preparation of overall program plans;
  6. Assist the Program Manager with meeting facilitation, documentation, and communication;
  7. Oversee the implementation of assigned projects;
  8. Coordinate with IT project managers and delivery teams to ensure activities are on track;
  9. Communicate to stakeholders and project teams on a regular basis;
  10. Ensure each project follows organization standard procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, or Management of Information Systems preferred;
  • Certifications in project management (e.g. PMP) or in progress of working towards a project management designation;
  • Understanding of agile and scaled agile practices and holding certifications (e.g. CSM) is an asset;
  • 3+ years working in the financial industry is an asset, with at least 3 years in a management capacity;
  • 3 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution;
  • Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project, JIRA Software;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Good planning and organizing skills;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to influence and motivate others.
