About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Practice Leader to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our Interprofessional Practice and Learning team, you will play a critical role in facilitating and advancing excellence in quality person-centered care and practice.

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant health profession and a minimum of five years of clinical experience. They will also have a strong background in leadership, with a minimum of three years of progressive leadership experience.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in critically analyzing evidence-based practices to inform innovative, flexible, and responsive learning and educational programming and quality improvement initiatives. They will also have knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks applicable to the practice of health professions.

We are looking for a collaborative leader who can foster a culture of learning and promote evidence-based practice, reflecting best practices and a culture of person-centered care. The successful candidate will work closely with all members of the interprofessional team, including physicians, to promote a culture of collaboration and excellence in practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and advance excellence in quality person-centered care and practice
  • Take a collaborative leadership role in fostering a culture of learning
  • Work with all members of the interprofessional team to promote evidence-based practice
  • Develop and implement innovative learning and educational programming and quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide consultation and guidance on professional practice issues at the individual, team, program, and system level

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant health profession
  • Minimum of five years of clinical experience
  • Minimum of three years of progressive leadership experience
  • Expertise in critically analyzing evidence-based practices
  • Knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the interprofessional team

  • A competitive salary range of $60.39 hourly to $117,761 annually
