About the Role

The Prosserman JCC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Camp Director to lead our summer program at the Jack and Pat Kay Centre Camp. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the camp's operations, including staff development and retention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the growth and development of our multi-campus camping program, aligning with the JCC's mission and vision.
  • Work closely with the senior team to ensure that camp is a key component of the JCC's community engagement strategy, strengthening connections between camp families and the JCC throughout the year.
  • Identify and anticipate trends in camping, Jewish identity building, and youth development, incorporating them into the camp's programs and culture.
  • Set short- and long-term goals for program innovation, staff development, and increased community impact.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance the camp's reputation as a premier destination for campers and staff, ensuring high standards of quality and a deep connection to community.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience running a camp of similar size, with at least 5 years of staff management experience.
  • Exceptional financial and business acumen, including analytics, with a proven track record of managing budgets over $2 million.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of Jewish holidays and rituals, as well as an understanding of Israel and its culture.
