Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cook's Helper at Bistro du Parc. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting our cooks in preparing and serving high-quality meals to our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, ensuring they are sanitized and ready for use.
  • Place dishes in storage areas, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Scour pots and pans to ensure they are clean and free of food residue.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, such as soups and sauces.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, ensuring they are prepared for use in our kitchen.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not necessary.
  • Language: French language proficiency required.
  • Availability: Temporary work term, 40 hours per week.
