Job Title: Dyeing and Finishing Machine Loader

Canadian Textile Services Inc is seeking a skilled Dyeing and Finishing Machine Loader to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to load and off-load machines, cut fabric to specifications, and perform minor repairs to machinery. The successful candidate will also be responsible for cleaning machines and work areas, assisting machine operators, and selecting leather and cutting dies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and off-load machines with precision and efficiency
  • Cut fabric to specifications using various cutting techniques
  • Perform minor repairs to machinery to ensure optimal performance
  • Clean machines and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Assist machine operators and other textile workers as required
  • Select leather and cutting dies to meet production needs
  • Cut and prepare fabric, leather, and fur samples for quality control
  • Adjust cutting technique to type of fabric and style of garment
  • Operate clicker or punch press to stretch leather
  • Adjust rotation and mixing action of vats according to state of pelts
  • Examine products for defects to ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Operate a variety of machines to bleach, dye, coat, or finish fabric, thread, yarn, or other textile products
  • Prepare solutions to clean, dehair, pickle, oil, or tan hides and skins
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a textile manufacturing environment
  • Permanent employment with 35 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
Work Environment:
