About the Role

Nexus Home Renovations and Construction Corp. is seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team. As a key member of our installation crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality flooring installations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate measurements and precise markings.
  • Underlayment Installation: Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to provide a stable base for flooring installations.
  • Flooring Installation: Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings, including hardwood floors, to meet client specifications.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, and prepare floors for installations by removing existing floor coverings and contaminants.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a physically demanding role that requires frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling. You will work in various locations, including commercial and residential settings, and may be required to work in different weather conditions.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not necessary. We are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Schedule: 33 to 40 hours per week, with a permanent employment contract.
