We are seeking a skilled Handyman/Woman to join our team at Dartmouth Crossing Hotel II Limited Partnership. As a Handyman/Woman, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the hotel's facilities are well-maintained and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities Maintenance: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse. Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform minor repairs on appliances, clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas, and work with minimal supervision.
- Security and Safety: Perform safety and security checks, and ensure that all equipment is in good working condition.
- Transportation: Own transportation is required, and public transportation is available.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
- Physical Demands: Work under pressure, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
- Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player.
