Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Macaulay Child Development Centre. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for developing and implementing high-quality programs for children to facilitate their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and organize a safe and engaging environment for children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being at all times.
  • Develop and implement daily programming using approved curricula and approaches to promote children's optimal development.
  • Encourage active learning and build self-esteem in an inclusive and respectful environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support children's progress and success.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and families, providing meaningful feedback and information about their child's learning and development.
  • Support the team in managing children's medication schedules and allergies, and perform housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Supervise student teachers and assist in completing college evaluation forms.
Requirements
  • Early Childhood Education degree or diploma, or equivalent experience working with families and children.
  • Experience in delivering inclusive programming to children with special needs.
  • Member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
  • Strong working knowledge of the ELECT and High Scope curriculum.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer literacy.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective work partnerships with parents, families, and colleagues.
