Technical Support Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Analyst to join our team at Windsor Place Retirement Residence Inc. This is a permanent, full-time position with a 35-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate access and use of computer networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
  • Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software, ensuring compatibility and efficiency.
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users, resolving technical issues and improving overall system reliability.
  • Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures, protecting sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Perform routine network start-up and close-down procedures, maintaining control records and ensuring compliance.
  • Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet, ensuring secure and reliable access.
  • Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, optimizing server performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations, ensuring business continuity and data integrity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical support, network administration, or related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
