Job Summary

This role supports the business by implementing the fund risk management framework and collaborating with the Investment Risk Team on quantitative analysis of fund portfolios invested across various asset classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist in developing, maintaining, and implementing the investment risk oversight framework
  • Supporting the Investment Risk Team in providing independent monitoring and oversight of key investment risks, including market, liquidity, counterparty, and derivative risk and exposure, ensuring they align with a fund's objectives, policies, and strategies
  • To produce investment risk and exposure reports for senior management and committees
  • To monitor funds to ensure they adhere to their investment risk limits
  • To conduct stress testing on fund portfolios, covering historical and hypothetical scenarios, related to market risk, liquidity risk, and other relevant factors according to a fund's objectives and strategies
  • To analyze breaches of applicable limits, challenge investment managers, and ensure any required actions to close such breaches are completed
  • To ensure timely and accurate completion of regulatory fund reporting, including AIFMD returns and UCITS derivative Use Reports
  • To support general risk queries
  • To generate performance attribution reports for all IFSL Funds, encompassing Equity, Fixed Income, and Multi-Asset

Secondary Responsibilities:

To assist the Investment Risk Manager in project work as needed.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience using widely used performance and risk monitoring systems

Essential Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Completed or working towards an appropriate industry qualification such as the Investment Operations Certificate (IOC), Investment Management Certificate (IMC), or CFA

A genuine interest in financial markets and understanding of the UK Regulatory Framework is beneficial.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience in an investment risk or related role within financial services
  • Knowledge of key relevant regulatory and statutory requirements, particularly UCITS and AIFMD

Additional Information
  • A competitive annual salary ranging from £60,000 to £80,000 based on experience and qualifications
  • 25 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays
