Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

CG Consulting Group is seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

This is a permanent, full-time role with a hybrid work arrangement, requiring in-office presence three days a week.

The successful candidate will have market-rate salary and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters for various environments (development, testing, production) based on industry best practices.
  2. Automate deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications using Kubernetes and related tools.
  3. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the health and performance of Kubernetes clusters and applications.
  4. Collaborate with development teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and enhance the efficiency of software delivery.
  5. Work closely with the DevOps team to integrate Kubernetes with existing infrastructure components.
  6. Implement security best practices and policies for Kubernetes clusters, ensuring compliance with company standards.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) and/or proven experience working as a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist.
  2. Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker, container orchestration tools, and microservices architecture.
  3. Strong expertise in designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
  4. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  5. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD), and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  6. Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible is a plus.
