Job Summary

We are seeking a talented mid-level Emerging and High Growth (EHG) Companies Associate to join their busy EHG practice group in Vancouver. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 to 4 years of general corporate law experience, with a focus on emerging companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice on corporate structuring, venture finance, and mergers and acquisitions involving technology companies
  • Assist in drafting and negotiating agreements, including shareholder agreements and employment contracts
  • Conduct research and analysis on legal issues related to emerging and high growth companies
  • Collaborate with senior lawyers to develop and implement legal strategies for clients

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of general corporate law experience, with a focus on emerging companies
  • Experience in corporate structuring, venture finance, and mergers and acquisitions involving technology companies
  • Passion for entrepreneurship and emerging and high growth companies
  • Superior communication and drafting skills
  • Above average academics
  • Exceptional work ethic
  • Client service orientated
  • Must be qualified to practice law in Canada
