Job Title: Registered Nurse - Geriatric Inpatient

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Geriatric Inpatient team at North York General Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide excellent patient and family-centered care, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to assess, educate, and restore patient health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Assume a leadership role in the Geriatric Inpatient unit, mentoring and supporting colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Geriatric Psychiatry experience.
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset.
