Job Title: Registered Nurse - Geriatric Psychiatry

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Geriatric Psychiatry team at North York General Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our geriatric patients, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, education, and support to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Geriatric Psychiatry experience.
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset.
