Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Child Development Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our School-Based Rehabilitation Program, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to children with rehabilitation needs. Your primary goal will be to facilitate relationships between families, schools, and local healthcare systems, ensuring seamless communication and collaborative support.

Your duties will include:

  • Delivering care to children with rehabilitation needs in our School-Based Rehabilitation Program
  • Working collaboratively to provide patient care both virtually and in-person
  • Providing short-term consultation, training, and intervention for specific rehabilitation needs
  • Assessing and treating pediatric clients with various needs, including speech sound delays and disorders, motor speech challenges, stuttering, and voice disorders

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A thorough understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and policies applicable to practice
  • Knowledge of principles of reflective practice
  • The ability to use a systematic approach to decision-making during the development, implementation, and evaluation of clients
  • Safety-focused and accountable
  • Highly organized, with the ability to multitask conflicting priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Current registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
  • A current valid G2/G driving license and access to a reliable insured vehicle
